This animal mosaic was the first design I ever made using Photoshop. After choosing my animal theme, I chose a specific animal for the background, a komodo dragon. On a new layer, I chose 10 more different animals and scaled them all to about 1 square inch each and put them into a single column. Once this was done, this column was duplicated, rotated a variety of ways, and positioned to cover the entire background image. Once the background had been covered, I faded the top images to see the background.
